Expansion continues in Tongling

Tongling, 27 October 2014. CATHAY INDUSTRIES Group has started production in its new plant in Tongling, China. Since 2013 the global provider of synthetic iron oxide and chrome oxide pigments has been building its new manufacturing site with the objective of an expansion to 150,000 metric tons per annum. Using the most modern technology, the Hong Kong-based company will produce yellow, red and black iron oxide pigments in Tongling. Taking responsibility for the environment, the plant utilizes fully integrated waste stream recycling. CATHAY has invested in the joint venture plant with Tonghua Group as Rely Science & Technology Co., Ltd.
Brighter than ever: High Chroma Red Pigments

High Chroma Reds from CATHAY INDUSTRIES allow users to broaden the colour space of iron oxide pigments. With its new pigments the company offers a product range, which increases chroma, making the colour brighter. Because of their hydrophilic properties, these iron oxides are easily dispersible in water based and VOC free systems. In addition, they are characterised by low oil absorption, low viscosity as well as elevated gloss.
